We wanted a way to give people a deeper understanding of what we do and how we help. Our choice was between a video explainer or a podcast series. We chose a podcast which got the information across in a very natural way with excellent attention levels. It got a great response from clients and also from our team across Europe. .

We wanted to use podcasting as a value-add for our members and bring some life to our features but didn’t know where to start. DustPod gave us excellent training and even co-presented some of the early episodes. It was a fantastic start and the podcast is still running successfully today.

Getting credible attention from an 18-24 audience is hard. We tried podcasting and DustPod came up with a comedy/youth culture podcast for our Jaegermeister & Corona Extra brands. It clicked in a way we never could with radio. The highest recommendation I can give is that this podcast led to us doing a lot more projects with the team.

Dusty Rhodes – Founder/CEO

Dusty has been in the business of audio and communicating since he was a teenager. By 21, Dusty found himself broadcasting to over six million listeners every day in the United Kingdom on Atlantic 252.

He then landed his dream job at RTÉ 2FM. Dusty produced and hosted many different shows on 2FM including the station’s flagship “Hotline” show.

Dusty went on to form an independent radio production company creating music shows, magazine programmes, and long-form documentaries for local and national radio.

In 2006 his company also began creating and producing podcasts for companies, brands and organisations, many years before most of us had heard of a podcast!

Due to his pioneering work in creating branded podcasts for a number of major brands and organisations, he is considered an authority in this arena and is often affectionally referred to as “The PodFather”.

To this day, Dusty remains the only Independent Producer to have won multiple gold awards at Ireland’s Annual IMRO Radio Awards and has added to his accolades by collecting numerous awards for his work in podcasting.

Aoife Plunkett – Senior Producer

Aoife also has a passion for audio running through her blood.

Starting with commercial radio, she honed her production skills from researching, coordinating, managing and producing programmes, to copywriting for web and social media. Her producer credits include 98FM’s Big Breakfast, Lunchtime on Today FM and many programmes for Spin 1038. Her work was recognised at national level with two IMRO nominations for the Spin 1038 feature programme she produced; The Bellissimo Files.

In 2020, Aoife moved into the podcast industry, producing two award winning podcasts under the Spotify umbrella, Where Is My Mind? And Wake Up Wind Down. The later took home Best Daily Podcast at the Irish Podcast Awards in 2022.

Today she works across a range of our podcasts working with clients, presenters and producers to deliver some of the best brand podcasts in the world.

Multi-award-winning broadcaster, journalist, Aideen is the presenter & producer of our Adapt Radio podcast for world-class ADAPT Research Centre at Trinity College Dublin.

Róisín Davis
Producer

Roisin Davis took her B.A. from the University of London and dived straight into a producer role with Newtalk. Róisín is the producer of our Engineers Journal podcast ‘Amplified’.

Shireen Langan
Producer

Shireen Langan cut her production teeth with Irish national stations RTE and Today FM. She produces our ‘Future Proof’ podcast for Forige.

Awards

Best Branded Podcast : Winner 2022 and 2023

We are proud and honoured to have won Best Branded Podcast for the past two years running. In 2022 our work on “Under Construction with Chadwicks” won Gold at the Irish Podcast Awards. The following year we repeated that, with a Gold award for “Care + Converstations with Care Plus Pharmacy“.

The brand teams we work with are as passionate, particular and proud about their work as we are about podcasts!

The end results are incredibly engaging shows, which squeeze in a lot of information and keep the attention without being ‘salesy’. They work well and the Gold awards are a brilliant accolade for Chadwicks, Care Plus Pharmacy and DustPod.

Awards of Excellent in PR

Hosted by the PRII and PRCA, the awards celebrate the very best of Irish Public Relations and Communications work over the previous twelve months. We are very proud our work won gold in Best Digital PR Campaign for the podcast series we conceived and created for Chadwicks.

The video work we created to promote the podcast also won the Video Campaign (Agency) award with Teneo. This is the same level of video promos we include with our podcast packages. The same project was also a finalist for Best Podcast at the DMA Digital Media Awards.

IMRO Awards

Throughout the years we have produced a number of in-flight programmes for Aer Lingus transatlantic services.

One of our favourites was called The Singer and the Song. The interview documentary shared stories behind some of the most famous songs ever, as told by the singers themselves from Jim Kerr to Lionel Richie.

We recently adapted the programme for broadcast nationally on Ireland’s Classic Hits Radio and are very proud that it won an IMRO Radio Award at the annual ceremony in October 2021.

PPI Radio Awards

With PPI, the forerunner to the IMRO’s, we have won many awards for our audio work including ‘Net Nanny’ and ‘CGI’ both for RTE Radio One and ‘Top 40 Oifiguil na hEireann’ for the commercial radio network.

To this day we remain the only independent producer to win multiple gold at these awards.
